Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia recently announced the launch of Nokia Mural, a new mobile phone that will become available in the US for AT&T subscribers starting with September 6. The fresh device comes with a folding form factor, and sports a variety of cover illumination colors users can choose from. In addition, the handheld also comes with support for 3G and HSDPA connectivity.

The new Nokia Mural includes social networking capabilities, along with multimedia messaging, built-in IM, email capabilities, as well as a large keyboard and external music keys. A 2.2’-inch QVGA screen, and a 2-megapixel photo snapper have been also included in the package, along with a memory card slot that can support up to 16GB of additional storage space.

Nokia Mural is a feature packed phone with an added level of fun, allowing people to express themselves with the eye catching lighting. We are very excited to bring this to consumers with AT&T,” said David Petts, Vice President and General Manager, AT&T Account, Nokia. “We are continuing to expand our portfolio in the U.S. with varying price points and features for all consumers.”

The mobile phone also comes to the market with an ergonomic design with elegant curves, adds the Finnish handset maker, and users can choose blue, red, green, orange, purple and pink as the illuminating cover colors. Users will also have the opportunity to change the color options in case it won't match their mood at certain periods of time.

Additionally, a series of AT&T services have been packed within the handheld, including AT&T Mobile Music, AT&T Navigator and AT&T Video Share. The new handset will become available for purchase through AT&T retail locations and online on the carrier's website. The price tag for the Nokia Mural has been set at USD 49.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the operator and after a USD 50 mail-in rebate.
