Nokia might have cancelled its 8-incher, but a 9-incher might still be in the cards

Finnish device manufacturer famous for its unbreakable smartphones took a plunge into the tablet market in 2013, by releasing a 10-inch Windows RT tablet called the Lumia 2520.

Another tablet, this time with an 8-inch screen (nicknamed Illusionist) was rumored to be in the works, but Nokia apparently pulled the plug on it, leaving us to wonder whether we’ll ever see another Nokia slate in the wild.

Anyway deviantArt member SaphFan32 has envisioned a possible future Nokia tablet, which he has dubbed the Lumia Accent 096. If Nokia has pulled the plug off its 8-inch project, maybe the company might want to try its luck with a 9-incher equipped with slightly better specs than their current model.

The tablet is envisioned to be a high-end model with a 4:3 aspect and a 9-inch UXGA screen with a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels. Power should come from an Intel Core i3 Haswell processor clocked at 1.7GHz combined with 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal memory.

The Lumia Accent is conceptualized to run Windows 8 Pro or maybe Windows 8.1 and work in concert with a Wacom digitizer. Other specs include a magnetic connector, NFC, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. The price target has been set at $600-$700 / €441-€515, which is more expensive than the iPad itself.
