Good news for Windows Phone fans, as one of the first smartphones to ship with Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box, the Lumia 930 will be available for pre-order starting next month.

Although Nokia announced that the smartphone should be released on the market in June, there were no details regarding the pre-orders timeframe.

Well, it looks like the folks over at WMPoweruser have been recently tipped on when exactly customers will be able to pre-purchase the Lumia 930.

Apparently, the Vodafone Germany phone support division has confirmed to one of its customers that Nokia Lumia 930 will be available for pre-order beginning May, but the smartphone will only go on sale in June.

The fact that Lumia 930 will hit shelves in June is no news, but Windows Phone fans should start preparing their wallets this month as the smartphone will certainly sell quite fast, so a pre-order should solve lots of problems for those who are anxious to own one.

Keep in mind that the information only concerns pre-orders at Vodafone Germany, but the smartphone may appear sooner or later at other carriers and retailers worldwide.

Nokia Lumia 930 will be available in black, white, orange and green color options. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone will ship with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system out of the box, so users won’t need to wait for the major update to arrive on their devices.

As many of you probably know by now, the Lumia 930 is the international version of the Nokia Lumia Icon, which is now available in the US exclusively through Verizon Wireless.

The smartphone is armed with a powerful 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 processor, an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit, no less than 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

The only downside would be the fact that it doesn’t come with microSD card slot for memory expansion, but owners should be ok with the default internal memory plus the 7GB of free OneDrive cloud storage.

The Lumia 930 sports a stunning 5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution, along with ClearBlack technology and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating for extra protection.

The 20-megapixel PureView camera on the back features Carl Zeiss optics, OIS (optical image stabilization), autofocus, dual-LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. There’s also a secondary 1.2-megapixel front facing camera for video calls and selfies.

It also comes with support for LTE cat.4, which allows for download speeds of up to 150Mbps and 50Mbps upload. Other connectivity features include Wi-Fi, NFC (Near Field Communication), GPS with A-GPS and microUSB.
