Early next month, mobile phone users in Ireland interested in some Windows Phone 8.1 action will be able to enjoy the features and capabilities of Nokia Lumia 930, as the device has been officially confirmed for the country.

Last week, a report on the smartphone’s upcoming availability in Ireland emerged online, suggesting that we would see it released on Meteor’s network soon, and confirmation on the matter has already arrived, from Nokia Ireland itself.

On its Facebook page, the company has confirmed not only that the phone will hit shelves at this wireless carrier soon, but also the fact that other operators in the country will also receive it, including Vodafone and O2.

Moreover, the company has confirmed that the smartphone will be released in the country on July 3, although it has not provided specific info on the handset’s pricing as of now.

Nokia Lumia 930 is one of the first devices to arrive on the market with the new Windows Phone 8.1 operating system loaded on top, following the launch of Nokia Lumia 630 not long ago.

The mobile phone was made official in early April with a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, as well as with a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor.

Moreover, the smartphone sports 2GB of RAM, along with 32GB of internal memory that cannot be expanded via microSD memory cards, given that no card slot has been included in it.

On the back, the Windows Phone 8.1 device sports a 20-megapixel camera with full HD video recording, complemented by a front camera for making video calls while on the go.

The specs list of Nokia Lumia 930 also includes Adreno 330 graphics, support for 4G LTE networks, and a 2420mAh battery. Moreover, the smartphone comes to the market with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities inside, NFC, and a built-in GPS receiver.

On top of that, the handset has also been announced with built-in wireless charging capabilities (with support for the Qi standard), something that previous high-end Windows Phone devices also had to offer.

Overall, the Nokia Lumia 930 will arrive on shelves with the same features and capabilities that Nokia Lumia 1520 was announced with, but in a smaller, more compact body, as NokiaRevolution notes.

Not to mention that the new phone runs under a newer platform iteration, one that might not land on the 6-inch Lumia 1520 for a while. Info on Lumia 930’s pricing in Ireland and elsewhere should emerge soon, so stay tuned.
