The best Windows Phone 8.1 announced by Microsoft, Nokia Lumia 930, is about to make its debut in the UK in less than a month. The first smartphone to ship with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system out of the box, the Lumia 630, is already up for sale through various retailers in the country.

However, Nokia Lumia 630 will be widely available in the UK beginning May 29 for a much better price than the smartphone is now selling for.

Anyway, Windows Phone fans who are eagerly waiting for Microsoft to bring its best Windows Phone 8.1 handset in the UK will be pleased to know that they won’t have to wait that long.

According to a Reddit user who claims that he/she called O2’s support staff for more info on the Lumia 930, the smartphone should be launched in the UK as early as June 9.

Assuming that testing goes well, O2 UK support staff says that Nokia Lumia 930 will be available for purchase beginning June 9. Even if something wrong happens, we don’t expect the Lumia 930 to be delayed too long, as the smartphone is already available for pre-order in some countries.

Unlike current Windows Phone handsets available on the market (except the Lumia 630), Nokia Lumia 930 ships with Windows Phone 8.1 and Lumia Cyan update out of the box.

The handset has been confirmed to boast a stunning 5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with full HD (1080p) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

Hardware-wise, the Lumia 930 is equipped with a powerful 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

Keep in mind that the smartphone lacks a microSD card slot, but packs 32GB of internal memory, in addition to the 7GB free cloud storage via OneDrive.

Another strong point of the Lumia 930 would be the enhanced 20-megapixel rear-facing PureView camera with Carl Zeiss optics, OIS (optical image stabilization), autofocus, dual-LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

It also comes with a secondary 1.2-megapixel camera in the front and a 2420 mAh battery, which should provide up to 430 hours of standby time or up to 11.5 hours of talk time (15.5 hours in 3G mode).

Unfortunately, O2 support staff did not offer any details on the Lumia 930’s price tag, but considering that the smartphone is available for pre-order in Europe for €580 (£470 / $795), we suspect that it will go on sale for under £500.
