Major retailer Amazon China opened pre-orders for Nokia Lumia 920 on November 12, but the company managed to sell its entire stock in about 30 minutes.

Well, it looks like the reason behind Lumia 920T’s quick sale at Amazon China was a pricing error. The smartphone was available for purchase for 3,599 yuan, which is about $580/ €455 outright.

The price was unbelievable low, but it was too late for Amazon China to correct the error especially that Lumia 920T was sold out only 30 minutes after the retailer kicked off pre-orders for the smartphone.

According to Amazon China, those who pre-purchased the Nokia Lumia 920T can expect their devices to be delivered between December 26 and 27.

However, this won’t be happening anymore as the retailer canceled all Lumia 920T pre-orders and sent the following letter to all customers that took advantage of the pricing error yesterday, Winp.cn reports.

“I regret to inform you, in your account to buy goods: ***, commodity price information is incorrect and the merchandise has not yet arrived, order merchandise has been cancelled. If your order payment has been made, the abolition of commodity payments will retreat into your gift card or electronic account, you can query in the “My Account” – “My gift card or electronic account.”

In addition, Amazon China also offered all customers who have had their pre-orders canceled a 30-yuan gift card in compensation.

The Chinese version of Nokia Lumia 920 will be released in the Mainland a bit later than in other markets, but it will come with a slightly different hardware configuration.

The smartphone will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus processor, which will be complemented by an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit. The international Lumia 920 packs a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon clocked at 1.5 GHz, accompanied by an Adreno 225 GPU.
