14 DAY TRIAL // It looks like Nokia’s “Amazing Everyday” marketing campaign had little to no impact in the UK, as the Finnish company announced a new special offer for customers who purchase a Lumia smartphone.
Nokia kicked off a promotional offer, which runs between May 1 and May 31 in the UK. Customers of at least 18 years old who live in the UK and decide to purchase a Nokia Lumia 800 or Lumia 900 device will be offered a Purity HD Stereo Headset by Monster for free.
Currently, Nokia fans can only purchase the Lumia 800, but the latest hearsay point to a May 14 release for the Lumia 900.
Those who already purchased the Lumia 800, but did not know anything about the current offer, can head over to Nokia’s site and fill in the necessary information.
It is also worth mentioning the Purity HD Stereo Headset by Monster offered for free are worth no less than £199 ($320 USD or €245).
We expect that Lumia 900 will go official in the UK within the next few weeks. The smartphone should be available for free on select plans.
Unveiled back in February at the Mobile World Congress 2012 trade fair, the international version of Lumia 900 was slated for a Q2 release, though Nokia did not disclose any exact launch date for the smartphone.
Nokia Lumia 900 is a step up from the Lumia 800 device, as the former comes with a slightly larger 4.3-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display (480 x 800 pixels), which is based on ClearBlack technology and features Corning Gorilla Glass coating.
The smartphone is equipped with a 1.4 GHz single-core Qualcomm APQ8055 Snapdragon processor and packs 16GB of internal memory and 512MB of RAM.
Last but not least, Lumia 900 is powered by a much better 1830 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 300 hours of standby time or up to 7 hours of talk time.
