Although Nokia 808 PureView won’t be coming to Australia through official channels, the Finnish company plans to launch its entire Lumia lineup of smartphones.

According to MyNokiaBlog, Nokia Lumia 900 and Lumia 610 will be available in Australia beginning May 17. There are no details on the phones’ pricing options yet, but more info will probably emerge closer to launch.

Made official back in February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the international version of Lumia 900 has just been introduced in the UK.

Nokia Lumia 900 was initially launched in the United States via AT&T. The main difference between the two models is LTE technology, which is a must-have feature in North America.

Even though Australian carrier Telstra is currently offering 4G services, we have no proof that might indicate Nokia plans to release the LTE-enabled version of Lumia 900.

Anyway, the rest of the features are about the same, so expect the Nokia Lumia 900 to come with a brilliant 4.3-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display (480 x 800 pixels) that features Corning Gorilla Glass coating for extra protection.

On the inside, the Lumia 900 packs a 1.4 GHz single-core Qualcomm APQ8055 Snapdragon processor, while the Lumia 610 sports only an 800 MHz CPU.

In addition, the former embeds 512MB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, whereas the latter comes with only 256MB of RAM and 8GB storage.

The Lumia 900 boasts an impressive 8-megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, dual-LED flash and HD (720p) video recording, as well as 1-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

Nokia Lumia 610 sports an average 5-megapixel main photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recorder (720p), but lacks a secondary camera.

When it comes to connectivity, Lumia 900 offers HSPA+ (42Mbps) and HSUPA (5.76Mbps), while the Lumia 610 comes with HSDPA (7.2Mbps).
