Nokia Lumia 900, the latest and most advanced handset that Finnish handset vendor Nokia made official with Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system on board, is now available for pre-order in Australia. The device went official in January at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas with support for the airwaves of wireless carrier AT&T. Last month, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Nokia announced that there would also be an international flavor of the mobile phone.

Today, mobile phone users in Australia can reserve the International version of the device for when it becomes available for purchase in late April.

The handset was put on pre-order over at MobiCity, which offers it unlocked at $799.00, with the said expected availability date attached to it. The online retailer offers three color options for the mobile device, namely Black, Cyan and White.

The Nokia Lumia 900 arrives on shelves with a large 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED touchscreen display (which can deliver a 480 x 800 pixels (WVGA) resolution) and is powered by a 1.4GHz application processor.

The mobile phone also includes 512MB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, while featuring an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with flash and video recording capabilities, and a front camera for video calling.

The phone’s specs list also includes a Li-Ion 1830 mAh (BP-6EW) battery that can deliver up to 7 hours of talk time or up to 300 hours of standby time, microUSB port, WiFi and Bluetooth, GPS and the usual set of sensors.

“The Nokia Lumia 900 features a 4.3-inch AMOLED ClearBlack Display for rich, bright images both indoors and outdoors. A long-lasting 1830 mAH battery for enjoying content all day,” the retailer notes.

"Nokia's third Lumia smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 900 builds on Lumia's head-turning design on the outside and a rich social and Internet experience on the inside.

"People Hub is the quickest way to connect with friends with Live Tiles for real-time updates and a fast Web browsing experience with Internet Explorer Mobile."
