Nokia announced the Lumia 900 earlier last month, during the International Consumer Electronics Show, in Las Vegas. The Finnish handset maker stated that the Lumia 900 was especially designed for the United States smartphone market and wouldn’t be available outside the country.

However, the smartphone was listed last month by UK-based retailer Carphone Warehouse on its “Coming Soon” page. Unfortunately, the retailer quickly pulled the phone from its site and said that the listing was prematurely uploaded.

In addition, Carphone Warehouse said that Nokia might not be willing to launch the Lumia 900 in the UK, which is the main reason the retailer was forced to admit its error.

Today, another UK-based retailer, Play.com listed the Nokia Lumia 900 on its online store, though it doesn’t offer any details regarding the phone’s exact availability and pricing options.

Customers who wish to be notified on Nokia Lumia 900 arrival at Play.com can register their emails on retailer’s site. The phone cannot be pre-ordered either, so there’s no telling whether or not the smartphone will make it to the UK.

In the same news, it appears that Nokia plans to launch an improved Lumia 910 in Europe, which is rumored to boast a 12-megapixel rear camera, but no LTE support. The phone is slated for a May 2012 release in Europe.

Unfortunately, Eldar Murtazin, the source of all Nokia rumors, said that the Finnish company planned to release the Lumia 900 in Europe after all. Unfortunately, the launch of the smartphone is planned for June, one month after the Lumia 910 will be officially introduced on the European market.

All in all, it will be interesting to see whether Nokia will come up with anything new at this year Mobile World Congress, which is set to kick off on February 27. The company may announce another low-end Windows Phone device, along with the rumored Nokia Lumia 910.
