As expected, the Batman Edition Nokia Lumia 900 has just been introduced in the UK. Dubbed “Dark Knight Rises” Limited Edition, the smartphone is now available for pre-order via Phones4U retailer.

The smartphone is free on select Orange and Vodafone plans starting at £31 per month. Each customer purchasing the limited edition Lumia 900 will receive free cinema tickets to the “The Dark Knight Rises” premiere, which is set for July 20.

In addition, customers who purchase the smartphone are given the chance to win a VIP experience to the premiere.

Although there’s no word on the exact release date of the handset, it’s certain that it’s in short supply given its “limited edition” status.

Those who already pre-ordered the special edition Lumia 900 will have to redeem their tickets and enter the VIP draw by visiting a dedicated site, which will be live starting June 1.

Nokia Lumia 900 “Dark Knight Rises” is exclusive to Phones 4u, so don’t expect this one to be available at other authorized retailers across the country.

The smartphone comes with the iconic Batman logo laser etched into the jet black polycarbonate rear case, as well as some specific content that previews the launch of the movie.

“Dark Knight Rises” content includes Gotham’s shadowy greatness with a limited edition black and grey skin, complete with exclusive character wallpapers, ringtones and special packaging.

The rest of the phone’s features are similar to the standard version, so expected this one to come with a large 4.3-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

Hardware-wise, the smartphone is powered by a 1.4 GHz single-core processor, complemented by an Adreno 205 GPU and 512MB of RAM. There’s also an impressive 8-megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, dual-LED flash and HD (720p) video recording. Check it out here.
