Nokia’s first Windows Phones are getting ready to land on shelves in Australia and New Zealand, and some more info on the price tags they would sport there has just emerged online.

For those out of the loop, we should note that both Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 are expected to hit the market in New Zealand, but only Lumia 800 will make an appearance on shelves in Australia.

Lumia 800 will hit shelves in Australia sometime in March, and will be carried by major wireless operators in the country, including Optus, Telstra and Vodafone.

The handset will certainly be put up for sale on monthly contracts at each of these carriers, but it will be sold unlocked as well, with a price tag of AUD$699 (567 Euros) attached to it.

No specific info on when Nokia’s Windows Phones will arrive in New Zealand has emerged for the time being (though both devices were already said to hit shelves in March), but details on the handsets’ price tags were unveiled. The Lumia 710 will be released with a price tag of $549 (USD$454 / 346 Euros) attached to it, while Lumia 800 will be priced at $899 (USD$744 / 567 Euros), unlocked.

According to Nokia New Zealand Managing Director Chris Carr, the company’s Lumia smartphones will change the way in which people look at Nokia at the moment.

“It signifies a new beginning for the company, bringing together the very best of Nokia’s handset design and services with the latest Windows Phone software,” he said, according to techday.co.nz.

Nokia unveiled both of these devices in October last year, and started selling them in a handful of countries in Europe and Asia, in November (Lumia 800) and December (Lumia 710).

As 2012 kicked off, the leading handset vendor announced plans to make the new devices available in a wider range of markets around the world. Australia and New Zealand are among the first countries to get a taste of these phones.
