Nokia has just started selling its first Windows Phone device in a small number of markets around the world, with France and the UK included, and the company is preparing the release of its device in more areas around the world, including Hong Kong.

The official launch event for the new mobile phone on the market in Hong Kong already took place, and Nokia unveiled a series of details on the phone's availability.

Famous singer Sammi Cheng was present at the event, WeloveWP.hk reports (via WMPoweruser), adding that she received a set of Lumia 800 of three different colors.

According to Nokia, it will start taking online pre-orders for the Lumia 800 starting with December 2nd, with the mobile phone priced at HKD$4398 ($565 /417 Euros).

Moreover, the company announced that users will be able to pick their devices in stores in person starting with December 12th.

While no official info on the store availability for the new device emerged for the time being, we can assume the it will be released on December 12th or on the 13th at the latest.

Nokia will also bundle the Nokia Lumia 800 with a free in-ear Nokia Purity Stereo Headset by Monster for the first 2000 pre-orders (priced at around $130 / 95 Euros).

The mobile phone is powered by the Windows Phone operating system from Microsoft, but it seems that it will not pack all of the services that Nokia announced for it when made available for purchase in Hong Kong.

Nokia Music and Nokia Drive will not be available for users at launch, that's for sure, though it seems that Nokia would be set to resolve this soon.

In addition to the Nokia Lumia 800, Nokia also plans on bringing the Nokia Lumia 710 to the local market, with a price tag of around HKD$3000 – 3498 (somewhere around $400 / 300 Euros). Lumia 710 should arrive on shelves after December 13th, but before the end of the year.
