Canadian mobile phone users interested in the purchase of the Nokia Lumia 625 smartphone can now head over to wireless carrier TELUS to grab it.

The mobile phone has arrived at the operator alongside Nokia Lumia 1020, the first 41-megapixel Windows Phone 8 smartphone out there.

Nokia Lumia 625 was made available at TELUS at $0 upfront with the signing of a two-year contract agreement, but requires a $45 (€32) monthly spend before tax.

This is the largest Windows Phone 8 smartphone from Nokia at the moment, courtesy of a 4.7-inch IPS touchscreen display capable of delivering a WVGA (800 x 480) resolution and a 201 ppi pixel density.

The specifications list of the mobile phone also includes a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, as well as 512MB of RAM.

Nokia Lumia 625 also arrives on shelves with 8GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of internal memory.

Furthermore, the handset features Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi hotspot, and 4G LTE connectivity.

On the back, the smartphone packs a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and full HD video recording. There is also a front camera included, which should prove a great option for making video calls.

The Windows Phone 8 handset also arrives on the market with various exclusive Nokia applications loaded on top, Microsoft Office and Outlook, Xbox Live, and more.

“Discover and enjoy free streaming right out of the box, access a catalogue of 22 million songs or create and enjoy your own, artist-inspired mixes with Nokia Music,” TELUS explains.

“Do more with your photos: create action shots, remove objects, blur backgrounds and capture the best smiles. Editing your photos is a snap on the big screen.”

TELUS customers who would like to buy the Nokia Lumia 625 will find it listed on this page on the wireless carrier’s website.
