Good news for Windows Phone fans in Ireland, as major carrier Three has just confirmed it will add the Nokia Lumia 530 and Lumia 635 to its portfolio of Windows Phone handsets.

According to NokiaNewsIreland, it won't be until September that Windows Phone fans will be able to pick one of the two affordable smartphones.

For the time being, both devices have been tagged as “Coming Soon,” but Three claims it won't be able to offer them until next month.

In the same piece of information, it's also worth mentioning that the orange version of Nokia Lumia 635 will be available for purchase in Ireland exclusively through Three's official retail channels.

On the other hand, the Lumia 530 will go on sale in four different color options, such as: black, white, orange and green. Both smartphones will ship with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system out of the box, so users won't have to wait for this particular update anymore.

The sequel to the best-selling Windows Phone handset, the Lumia 520, Nokia Lumia 530 is not really an upgrade apart from the newer software.

However, considering the Lumia 520 is also receiving the Windows Phone 8.1 update as we speak, there are few reasons that one would want to upgrade to Lumia 530.

Still, the Lumia 530 is definitely a good alternative for those who want to switch to Windows Phone from another operating system or for customers who never owned a smartphone before. The same goes for Nokia Lumia 635 which shouldn't be priced too high either.

Nokia Lumia 530 sports a decent 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 854 pixels, while the Lumia 635 packs a slightly larger 4.5-inch IPS LCD screen with the same resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

Both smartphones come with 5-megapixel rear-facing cameras, but they lack LED flash and secondary camera in the front.

On the inside, the Lumia 530 is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, whereas the Nokia Lumia 635 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU.

It's also worth mentioning that Lumia 530 packs only 4GB of internal memory and 512MB of RAM, while the Lumia 635 comes with 8GB of storage and the same amount of RAM. The good news is that both smartphones offer microSD card slots for memory expansion.

We will keep an eye out for any additional details on Lumia 530 and Lumia 635 availability in Ireland, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
