Reports on the next Windows Phone devices to be announced by Microsoft this year already surfaced online a few weeks ago.

One of the low-end smartphones that should make it to the market in the next couple of months is Nokia Lumia 530. The name of the device is not yet official, but all insiders refer to it by that model number and judging by its specs, it should be launched as Lumia 530.

The sequel to the most popular Windows Phone handset available on the market, the Lumia 520, was spotted in benchmarks about two weeks ago, under the codename Nokia RM-1027.

We also reported less than a week ago that Nokia Lumia 530 was expected to arrive at US-based carrier T-Mobile soon. The smartphone is known internally as Nokia Rise and will ship with Windows Phone 8.1, just like the Lumia 630, Lumia 635 and Lumia 930.

Unfortunately, there’s no telling when Microsoft will go official with the Lumia 530, but judging by the flow of leaks, that may happen sooner rather than later.

The latest leak related to Nokia Lumia 530 comes via blog site GeekOnGadgets and presents a picture of the smartphone alongside other two Windows Phone 8.1 handsets, the Lumia 635 and Lumia 930.

The image is said to be taken from a Windows Phone 8.1 guide and offers us a glimpse of some of Lumia 530’s possible features. It’s obvious from the picture that the Lumia 530 will come with a slightly smaller display than Lumia 635’s 4.5-inch screen.

In fact, the benchmark results leaked earlier this month have confirmed that the smartphone should come with a display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution. The size is unknown for the moment, but from the picture above, it’s likely to have around 4 inches.

The rest of the Lumia 530’s specs are still a mystery, but given the fact that this will be the cheapest Windows Phone 8.1 available on the market, it’s not that hard to guess the hardware configuration.

For example, the Lumia 530 should pack no more than 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory (maybe less), which will make the presence of a microSD card slot somewhat mandatory.

There will probably be a 5-megapixel camera on the back, but from what we’ve seen in the picture, Lumia 530 will lack a secondary front-facing camera.

It remains to be seen what type of processor Microsoft will choose: dual-core or quad-core. There are no physical keys, so expect the same on-screen buttons as on the new Windows Phone 8.1 devices.
