Nokia Lumia 530, the cheapest Windows Phone 8.1-based Lumia smartphone out there, is now available for purchase in Malaysia with dual-SIM capabilities inside.

The handset, made official last month, has been already launched on various markets around the world, and was also put up for pre-order in some of them, yet it hasn’t seen wide availability as of now.

Starting today, users in Malaysia can purchase the smartphone for MYR 355 ($111/€83), in line with what Microsoft announced for it back in mid-July.

One thing that should be noted, however, is the fact that, although it is available for purchase today, Lumia 530 won’t ship to orders until August 16, as soyacincau reports.

Even so, it does remain one of the most appealing smartphone options for users on a budget. In fact, it is expected to prove highly popular among end-users, the same as the Lumia 520 did before it.

The mobile phone arrives on shelves with a 4-inch TFT touchscreen display capable of delivering a 480 x 854 pixels resolution at a 245ppi pixel density.

Moreover, it was made official with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor inside, which is paired with Adreno 302 graphics.

The handset features only 512MB of RAM, but it should still be able to provide users with more than decent performance levels.

At the same time, it includes 4GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot that supports up to 128GB of additional storage space.

On the back, the handset features a 5-megapixel camera with video recording capabilities, but no front camera for video calling has been included in the package.

The specifications list of this device also includes support for 3G (HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps) networks, along with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 capabilities. Moreover, the handset comes with Wi-Fi hotspot functionality, while also featuring a built-in GPS receiver.

Nokia Lumia 530 is powered by a 1430mAh battery that can deliver up to 10 hours of talk time, or up to 528 hours of standby time. The phone also includes an accelerometer.

On top of all these, there’s the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, which provides users with features such as Action Center, World Flow, Internet Explorer 11, Start Screen backgrounds, and many others more.

Microsoft has made the new device official in a variety of color options, namely Bright orange, Bright green, White, and Dark grey, and users in Malaysia should be able to purchase all of them.
