Nokia Lumia 520, the cheapest Windows Phone 8 smartphone out there continues to dominate sales of devices running under Microsoft’s mobile platform, the latest data coming from AdDuplex unveils.

At the moment, the mobile phone is said to account for a 26.5 percent share when it comes to the Windows Phone platform, with Nokia Lumia 920 being on the second position with an 8.8 percent share.

As WPCentral notes, Nokia Lumia 520 together with Lumia 521, the exclusive version that was launched on the network of T-Mobile in the United States, enjoy a 29.9 percent share of the Windows Phone market.

The data coming from AdDuplex was collected on November 22, and shows an increase of 3.3 percent share for the cheap mobile phone.

Said report also unveils that Nokia Lumia 620 is the third most popular handset running under Windows Phone, with an 8.6 percent share, followed by Lumia 710 with 6.2 percent and Lumia 720 with 5.5 percent.

Interestingly enough, Nokia Lumia 1020 did not make it on the list, which suggests that it has a market share lower than that of Lumia 625, which is currently 10th on the list, with 2.9 percent.

Worldwide, Nokia accounts for 90 percent of all Windows Phone sales out there, which shows that it has managed to strengthen its position as a leader in this segment.

In fact, a recent report from IDC, which unveiled that Nokia accounted for 93.2 percent of shipped Windows Phone handsets in the third quarter of the year, has already confirmed that.

HTC is the second largest Windows Phone maker, with 7.0 percent market share, while Samsung comes in third with 1.8 percent share. Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei follows on the fourth position, with 10.3 percent market share.

AdDuplex also unveiled that Windows Phone 8 is currently loaded on 75.3 percent of all WP devices out there. This means that the older Windows Phone 7 still powers 24.7 percent of them, which is quite a large portion.

Other info coming from AdDuplex includes device distribution on specific markets, including the US, the UK and India, where Lumia 520 dominates with 22.8 percent, 28.2 percent and 43.4 percent share, respectively.
