Starting tomorrow, mobile phone users in Germany will be able to purchase the new Lumia 1520 smartphone in their country, thus enjoying the features of the latest Windows Phone 8 flagship device from Nokia.

The mobile phone is set to hit shelves in Germany with a price tag of €799 ($1,085) attached to it, via Amazon.de, Media Markt and Cyberport, a recent article on mobilegeeks.de reads.

The handset is already listed on Amazon’s website, with the aforementioned price tag attached to it, and dressed up entirely in Black.

The handset arrives in Germany in time for the Christmas shopping season, and might prove a successful device in the country, despite its high price tag.

However, as mobilegeeks.de also notes, the phone’s cost does match its hardware specifications, given the fact that it is the largest and most powerful Windows Phone 8 device to date.

Nokia has launched the smartphone with a large 6-inch touchscreen display, capable of delivering a full HD resolution, as well as with a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor inside.

At the same time, the high-end handset packs 2GB of RAM, 16/32 GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage space. It also comes with 7GB of free SkyDrive storage.

Lumia 1520 features a 20-megapixel camera on the back, with Optical Image Stabilization and full HD video recording capabilities, as well as a front camera for making video calls.

Furthermore, it includes 4G LTE connectivity, WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, NFC, GPS receiver, and a 3400 mAh battery. The mobile phone also includes wireless charging capabilities inside.

Nokia Lumia 1520 has already arrived on shelves in the United States, and is set to be released in various other countries in the not too distant future. Users in the UK, for example, will be able to purchase it starting with December 6.
