Last month, Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has officially unveiled plans to make the Nokia Lumia 1320 smartphone available for purchase in India this month, and retailers in the country have already started to add the device to their websites.

Flipkart is one of them, now displaying the upcoming handset on this page, but with no specific price tag or availability date attached.

However, Nokia did announce that the mobile phone would be put up for sale in India sometime in mid-January, which means that it should not be too long before additional info on the matter emerges.

Nokia Lumia 1320 was launched back in October with a 6-inch touchscreen display, being one of the largest Windows Phone 8 smartphones out there.

The device packs an LCD screen that can deliver a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, while being powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.

This makes Lumia 1320 a mid-range handset, despite its being as large as the Lumia 1520, which delivers a full HD resolution and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU instead.

On the back, the upcoming mobile phone sports a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and support for full HD video recording, complemented by a front camera that will allow users to make video calls while on the go.

Nokia Lumia 1320 features 1GB of RAM inside, along with 8GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot with support for up to 64GB of external storage.

The specifications list of the device also includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, along with 42.2 Mbps HSDPA; 5.76 Mbps HSUPA, microUSB, Wi-Fi Hotspot, and built-in GPS receiver. It features Ambient Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, and Magnetometer as well.

Lumia 1320 measures 85.9 x 164.2 x 9.8mm and weighs 220 grams. The smartphone is powered by a 3400mAh battery that can deliver up to 21 hours of talk time on 3G networks.
