The cheaper phablet announced by Nokia last year, Lumia 1320 has just been introduced in India and the next country to get the smartphone is Malaysia.

Unlike the high-end Lumia 1520, Nokia Lumia 1320 is priced much lower, which is why the Finnish company decided to bring the phablet to emerging markets initially.

WPCentral reports that customers in Malaysia will be able to purchase the Lumia 1320 beginning January 17 for only 1,199 outright, which is about $365 or €270.

“Building on the success of the Lumia 1520, we looked to further expand our innovation offering by bringing the best Lumia experiences from Nokia and the latest from Windows Phone to a large screen smartphone, at a more affordable price,” said Dick Yoong, Nokia country manager of Malaysia and Brunei.

The Lumia 1320 is one of the largest Windows Phone devices launched by Nokia, along with the Lumia 1520. The phablet sports a 6-inch IPC LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating for extra protection.

On the inside, the smartphone is equipped with a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

Even though the Lumia 1320 only packs 8GB of storage, users will be able to further expand internal memory via microSD memory card (up to 64GB). An additional 7GB of free cloud storage will be available via SkyDrive as well.

Furthermore, the smartphone comes with a decent 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p@30fps) video recording. There’s also a secondary front-facing camera for video calls.

It is also worth mentioning that Nokia Lumia 1320 features a high-capacity 3400 mAh battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 672 hours of standby time or up to 25 hours of talk time (21 hours for 3G).
