Mobile phone users in the United States interested in the purchase of a Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone on AT&T’s network can now make the acquisition through Amazon as well.

Made official earlier this month, the handset went up for sale at the wireless carrier last week, and partner retailers have already added it to their offerings, it seems.

At Amazon, the new Windows Phone 8 smartphone can be seen listed on this page, featuring a price tag of $299.99 (€226) with the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the carrier. It can also be bought at $749.99 (€565), contract-free.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Nokia Lumia 1020 is the first Nokia Lumia handset out there to arrive on shelves with a 41-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

The smartphone can provide users with an appealing imaging experience, especially since the large camera sensor is complemented by software that can take full advantage of its capabilities.

“The Nokia Lumia 1020 combines the image quality, video quality and performance of a DSLR camera with the simplicity and convenience of a smartphone that’s always with you,” Amazon notes.

“In addition to capturing incredible images, you can record HD video with smooth and steady zoom that gets you up to 6x closer to the action without any pixelation.”

The specifications list of Lumia 1020 also includes a 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ touchscreen display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and 2GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the mobile phone arrives on shelves with 32GB of internal memory, a front camera for making video calls, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, and NFC connectivity capabilities. It also offers support for AT&T’s 4G LTE network.

The smartphone runs under the latest Windows Phone 8 flavor out there, and also packs a series of exclusive applications from Nokia, such as the Pro Camera, HERE Maps, Drive and Transit, Nokia Music and more.
