Starting today, mobile phone users in the UK interested in purchasing the Nokia Lumia 1020 can grab it on the network of wireless carrier Three UK.

The operator has had the smartphone on pre-order on its website for a few weeks now, and it has officially made it available for acquisition starting today.

Nokia Lumia 1020 is priced at £69 ($110 / €82) at the carrier, with the signing of a 24-month agreement on a £34 ($54 / €40) per month plan.

The smartphone can be bought in two color flavors, namely Black and Yellow, with 32GB of internal memory. It will ship to users starting with September 26, Three notes.

Lumia 1020 arrives on the market with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system loaded on top, as well as with a series of exclusive Nokia applications.

“Nokia Lumia 1020 features Microsoft Office for easy working on the go and a fully customisable start screen to feature the people, apps and information that matter to you the most,” the wireless carrier explains.

The handset packs a 4.5-inch touchscreen display and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. Furthermore, it features 2GB of RAM.

Nokia packed the mobile phone with a 41-megapixel camera on the back, as well as with a front camera for making video calls.

“The Nokia Lumia 1020 takes photos and video that no other smartphone can match with a 41 megapixel camera sensor, PureView technology, Optical Image Stabilisation and amazing high resolution zoom,” Three UK explains.

The specifications list of the Windows Phone 8 device also includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, NFC, GPS receiver, and the usual set of sensors.

At the same time, Nokia’s Lumia 1020 arrives at Three UK with support for the wireless carrier’s 4G LTE network, which translates into fast data connectivity while on the go.

“When we begin rolling out 4G later this year, we'll start nudging up all our customers who have a 4G at no extra cost. With just a simple software update you'll enjoy trouble-free switching,” Three explains.
