Scheduled for an early 2011 release, Nokia E7 made its appearance at Amazon.com, but is currently out of stock. The Symbian^3 smartphone can be purchased for $679 and is eligible for FREE with Super Saver shipping offer.

Symbian fans who wish to purchase the E7 can order now and the device will be delivered when the retailer receives it in stock.

Amazon.com stated that it would e-mail every customer who orders the device with an estimated delivery date as soon as they have more information. Obviously, accounts will only be charged when the item is shipped.

Rumors say that Nokia is on the verge of announcing its N9 MeeGo-based smartphone, which will probably force the Finnish handset manufacturer to cut the E7's price by a lot, as users will be inclined to buy the MeeGo device instead of the Symbian^3 handset.

However, Amazon is known for its fluctuating prices, so customers might expect E7's to drop a little by the time it becomes available and ready for shipping.

Nokia E7 is powered by an ARM 11 680 MHz processor (3D Graphics HW accelerator) and runs on Symbian^3 platform. The smartphone comes with a 4-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors and 360 x 640 pixels resolution.

The device packs a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, proximity sensor for auto turn-off, accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, as well as scratch resistant Gorilla glass display.

Other key features of the E7 include: GPRS and EDGE class 32, HSDPA 10.2 Mbps, HSUPA 2 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, 16 GB of internal memory, 256 MB RAM, 1 GB ROM, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP support, 3.5 mm audio jack and GPS with with A-GPS support.

Nokia E7 boasts an 8-megapixel camera with fixed focus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, as well as video recording capabilities (720p@25fps) and video stabilization.
