Major online retailer Expansys has been taking pre-orders for Nokia's E7 smartphone for some time now, but only recently posted the actual availability of the device. Customers pre-ordering the mobile phone have to pay no less than £584.99. The retailer will start shipping the product on January 10th 2011.

For a limited time, any customer buying a smartphone from Expansys can also save up to 50% on any one of the selected accessories.

Those that decide go for the expensive Nokia E7 from Expansys can save up to 50% on any of the three accessories listed: KitSound Solar Powered Speakers, Bluechip Portable Charger and Memory 32GB High Capacity microSD Card.

The official price announced by Nokia was somewhere around 495 EUR before taxes and subsidies, but it seems that Expansys is taking advantage of the hype build around the N8 smartphone and whooped jacked the price up to about 685 EUR ($930 USD).

Nokia E7 is powered by an ARM 11 680 MHz processor (3D Graphics HW accelerator) and comes with a 4.0-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors and 360 x 640 pixels resolution.

Other key features of the smartphone include: multi-touch input method, proximity sensor for auto turn-off, accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, scratch-resistant surface, touch sensitive controls, handwriting recognition.

The E7 boasts an 8-megapixel camera with fixed focus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, image stabilization, video recording capabilities (720p@25fps) and secondary VGA camera for video calls.

It also embeds 16 GB internal memory, 256 MB RAM and 1 GB ROM, but lacks a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

In terms of connectivity, Nokia E7 is a complete tool with features such as HSDPA 10.2 Mbps, HSUPA 2 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP support, microUSB 2.0, USB On-the-go support, GPS with A-GPS support (Ovi Maps 3.0).
