Camera-free edition of the business phone

Nokia introduced a new version of its popular Nokia E51 business phone that comes without a built-in photo camera. The new version of the Eseries handset packs the same powerful features that the original one has and comes to answer the needs of professionals that want a highly featured business mobile device, but work in locations where the use of photo cameras is restricted by security reasons.

Nokia E51 is slim and lightweight (only 12 mm in thickness), runs on Symbian OS 9.2 S60 3.1 and offers many impressive features, including 3G, Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity for quick access to web content and emails, long battery life (up to 13 days of stand-by time) and powerful voice capabilities. Moreover, the phone provides simple to use one-touch keys that take users directly to "email", "calendar", "contacts" or "home". The camera-less E51 also features integration with an ample range of business email solutions for a focused email reading experience with quick and easy access to attachments, like consumer email, Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email and Mail for Exchange to connect with Microsoft Exchange Server.

Other features of Nokia E51 include MP3/AAC and video player, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, hands-free, USB 2.0, Java MIDP 2.0, Push to Talk, 130MB of internal memory and microSD (TransFlash) card support.

While the new version of Nokia E51 is definitely a perfect solution for those who work in industries that restrict the use of cameras, it's a good phone even for normal consumers. I say this because the lack of camera is not such a big loss, since the 2 Megapixel camera packed in the original version is only an average one.

The camera-free Nokia E51 will be available in the next months for a retail price of 250 Euro (about $370) before taxes or subsidies.
