Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is now rumored to plan the release of the Windows Phone 8 GDR2-based Amber update for its Lumia devices only in late August or early September, although it was previously expected to make it available by mid-August.

The info comes from ePrice, which claims that Nokia’s PR agency in Taiwan has confirmed the release timeframe for the update’s landing.

Nokia Lumia 920 will be the first handset to receive the update. The handset vendor will push the software to the Lumia 820, 720, 620, and 520 soon after, it seems.

As PhoneArena notes, the aforementioned launch window might actually refer to the software’s availability in Taiwan.

Nokia Amber should bring along a nice range of enhancements to the company's smartphones, including the Nokia Pro Cam application, FM radio functionality, a Glance screen, and others more. Stay tuned for more on the matter.
