Nokia Helen aka Nokia 701 has been around for two months already, but no official word about the smartphone has surfaced until recently.

The smartphone has just made its appearance at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) along with some of its specs.

According to the documents filed the Nokia RM-774, also known as Nokia 701 features quadband GSM / EDGE, as well as penta-band 3G support.

Nokia 701 'Helen' leaked in June along with three other Symbian smartphones, Nokia 500 'Fate', Nokia 600 'Cindy' and Nokia 700 'Zeta'.

Of the four devices that were leaked only the Nokia 500 was officially introduced last month and will be available on the market some time in September.

According to the latest rumors, Nokia 701 will be delivered with Symbian Belle on board, unlike the Nokia 500 that still runs Symbian Anna.

Furthermore, Nokia 701 is likely to be equipped with a 1GHz processor, just like the Nokia 500.

In addition, it will come with a 3.5-inch LCD ClearBlack touchscreen display and an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and HD video recording capabilities.

Apparently, Nokia 701 will be the successor of the current Nokia X7 and its strong points will be the large screen and a better browser experience.

No word on the price or release date, but Nokia has already placed the phone in the high-end pricing category, according to its new naming convention.

Nokia has recently removed the letters from its upcoming products' names and stated that it will go with numbers.

According to the new Nokia naming convention, the bigger the number, the higher the price of the device, so customers will know that when a certain Nokia 800 is too pricey for their budgets, a Nokia 750 could be the affordable smartphone they were looking for.

This means that we should expect a much higher price for the Nokia 701, in comparison with Nokia 500's €150 suggested retail price.
