Nokia has recently released its new 6210 Navigator in two important Asian markets, namely India and Singapore.

The new handset is not yet offered by any of the mobile carriers from India and Singapore, thus it can only be bought unlocked. In Singapore, the 6210 Navigator has a retail price of 678 SGD (almost 500 USD or 320 Euros), while Indian consumers can get the handset for less - around 17,000 INR (400 USD or 260 Euros). Most probably, the new Nokia is available in both of its colors (black and red), for Singapore and India as well.

First announced by the Finnish company back in February (at the same time as the N96, N78 and the 6220 Classic), Nokia 6210 Navigator is, obviously, the successor of the 6110 Navigator, which is now more than one year old.

The new Navigator brings not only a better slider design, but also more advanced features. These include built-in GPS, digital compass, Nokia Maps, quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) and dual-band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, a 2.4 inch TFT display with 16 million colors and 240 x 320 pixels, accelerometer, a 3.15 Megapixel camera with auto focus, flash and video recording, Music and Video players, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, email, full HTML browser, Instant Messaging, a 369MHz ARM processor, 120MB of internal memory and microSD/microSDHC card support for up to 8GB. In Singapore, the 6210 Navigator also comes with a 1GB card in the package (maybe that's why it's more expensive).

Running on a Symbian S60 platform, the 6210 Navigator weighs 117 grams, measures 103 x 49 x 14.9 millimeters and packs a 950 mAh battery that can provide up to 3.3 hours of talk-time or up to 220 hours of stand-by time.

Besides India and Singapore, Nokia will soon release its new Navigator in other Asian markets as well as across Europe and in the US (the FCC has already approved the slider).
