Nokia introduces the phone model Nokia 2505, an accessible one without any high expectations of being impressive. As the specifications show, this phone turns out to be designed for making calls and sending text messages more than anything else.

Its best features are the sleek design and smooth lines. When it unfolds, it fails to be impressive even by elegance, as it brings little or no novelty in its design. Furthermore, the display is of only 128x160 pixels with a 65,536 color support and brings nothing special to the phone's apparel.

Nokia 2505 proves to be designed mostly to respond to the practical needs of cellular users, without aiming at very high standards. It basically provides all the standard features that most mobile phones are equipped with for responding to the basic needs of their users. Thus, it offers text messaging, speaker phone, calendar, personalized voice reminder and alarm clock. Nothing spectacular in these features.

Larry Paulson, vice president and general manager of Nokia's CDMA business commented on the new phone's release that "Nokia also recognizes that many functions, including an FM radio and quick-press flashlight are of particular importance to entry market consumers, and were included as standard features on the Nokia 2505." Quite basic phone capabilities for a cellular that he declared to be targeted towards "all consumer segments".

Although it also has an integrated camera, no specifications have been made on its performances. It is also the case with Internet access or with any type of connectivity whatsoever.

Nokia 2505 will be released in Asia/Pacific, Middle East, Africa, China and Latin America sometime in the second quarter of 2007. Nokia made no price specifications for this phone up to this point.
