Nokia has unveiled a new contest that basically asks users to free their hands in order to win lots of prizes, including N82 smartphones and a trip around the world. The "free your hands" part means that you will have to make a short video (not longer than two minutes) in which to present a cool or unusual thing that you can do with your hands. You can present anything, from DJ-ing to origami creations, so it's all up to you and your hidden talents.

The Free Hands Challenge (that's how Nokia named the contest) will have weekly prizes as well as a big final prize that consists of a trip for two around the world (four continents included), plus 5,000 USD in cash, to be spent at the winner's will. Weekly, Nokia offers a Nokia N82 handset and a Nokia BH-902 Bluetooth headset - for the maker of the best video of the week. Also, the first 200 participants will receive a Mini Origami Set.

The new contest debuted on June 18 and will end on September 8. The first weekly winner will be designated on July 14, hence there's time for all of you out there to join the competition. Until the challenge ends, 9 weekly winners will be nominated. The best video in the entire contest will be awarded the above-mentioned trip.

In order to participate to the Free Hands Challenge, you must open an account on the competition website (found at this address) and simply upload your video. To give you a plus of inspiration, Nokia has posted on the website several videos with "Free Hands Supremos" who show off their skills.

All in all, the Free Hands Challenge initiated by Nokia is surely a cool contest that will bring a lot of fun for those interested in participating. The contest is open to everyone around the world, so get your hands ready to become famous.
