Nokia's first full touchscreen phone, the 5800 (initially leaked as Nokia Tube), will be pretty soon released on the European market, under the name of Nokia XpressMusic 5800.

The new handset prepared by the Finish company for all the touchscreen lovers out there was spotted today on an online retail shop from Germany, in the "coming soon" category, along with other devices that were already announced by Nokia: E71, 6210 Navigator, 5220 XpressMusic and the 6600 Slide.

What's interesting is that the new Nokia touchscreen handset is not presented with the XpressMedia name, as it has appeared before, but with the XpressMusic tag. Which could mean the phone will not be a "complete multimedia device", but only one with advanced music features. Of course, this is just a supposition and until Nokia officially presents the 5800 we can't be sure of anything.

However, regardless of the final name of the handset, the 5800 will surely be successful, knowing what Nokia can do when it comes to high-end devices. Moreover, since the 5800 looks really nice and it's the very first full-touch phone of Nokia, it will benefit from even more attention from mobile users.

If we were to believe the rumored specs of Nokia 5800, the handset is packed with the following goodies: a 3.2 inch touchscreen display with 16 million colors and a high (but unknown) resolution, quad-band GSM global connectivity as well as 3G/HSDPA, Wi-Fi, built-in GPS, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with auto focus, Bluetooth 2.0 and a 3.5mm audio jack. All these (plus the yet unrevealed specs) are said to be squeezed into a case that measures 111 x 52 x 14.5 millimeters and weighs 104 grams.

Well, the features of 5800 sure look good, if the above mentioned ones prove to be real. Anyway, let's wait for Nokia to fully present the handset and we'll see then what it is all about.
