The prize went to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons

This year's Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to an organization that is trying to destroy chemical weapons in Syria, but many people believe that it should have gone to Malala Yousafzai.

Malala is a 16-year-old girl who tried to fight a Taliban ban on girl's education in her Pakistani village. Her blog posts got her shot in the head, but she made an amazing recovery.

While the work of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons is invaluable in dealing with the situation in Syria, we are talking about a group made out of 189 member countries.

It feels like the Nobel Peace Prize should be awarded to individuals who have changed the world for the better.

"But this was the year they should have recognized her. This was the year where the Nobel committee should have said, 'Yeah, we need to recognize the fact that it’s NOT COOL to shoot little girls in the head because they want an education,'" Kaiser of CB writes.
