Jennifer Aniston has spoken before of how much she hates it when she sees a woman, celebrity or not, her age or older, looking like a clown after trying to turn back time with plastic surgery, fillers or other injectables. She does it again, in her latest interview with Yahoo! Beauty.

In the chat, which seems to promise a launch announcement for a new celebrity-endorsed lifestyle website or at least a celebrity-ghostwritten cookbook, the former “Friends” star campaigns for aging gracefully.

The secret, she says, is not in treating your body like junk and trying to fix it later, but in treating your body with respect from the start.

Surgery or fillers “just don’t help”

Jennifer says she would never go down this route, stressing that she plans to stick to her current routine to age gracefully. This means eating right, using the products her skin needs, and getting plenty of exercise.

No plastic surgery or injectables for her.

“It just doesn’t help,” she says. “It’s a slippery, slippery slope. And like we were saying before, they just start to lose perspective, it’s their new normal, so it’s a hard one to come back from. […] We also have all these technologies that come out. There are things that we can do to avoid any drastic, clown-making looks - microcurrents and stuff that keeps you exercising your muscles in your face. There are 83 muscles in your face, from what I understand.”

In addition to that, Aniston is paying close attention to what she eats and drinks: no sugar, limited alcohol and no more cigarettes for her. She drinks plenty of water and moisturizes to prevent deep wrinkles from appearing, she works out regularly and tries to get plenty of hours of sleep at night.

The way she sees it, trying to fight aging is useless because it’s a lost battle from the start: your only solution is to take care of your body so that it ages beautifully. Putting fillers in your face or having it pulled and lifted until taunt will go against nature, and will eventually end up looking bad.

Is she dissing good friend Courteney Cox?

Jennifer and former “Friends” co-star Courteney Cox have been close since they started working on the sitcom so many years ago. Based on paparazzi photos and glossy reports, their relationship has cooled off a bit in recent years, allegedly because Cox never approved of Aniston’s good friend Chelsea Handler.

When Jennifer first spoke of how much she disliked it when she saw women with the tell-tale signs of plastic surgery, celebrity pundits assumed she was speaking of Courteney, who, though she would never admit it, has that classic “pillow face” so many women get when they’re over-Botox and pulled too tight.

Aniston too has been plagued by rumors of this kind, but they were never as numerous as in Courteney’s case.

So naturally, now that she’s taking a stand against plastic surgery once more, voices online want to see in it evidence that she and Cox are still on not too amicable terms because it would be impossible for her not to notice the kind of work her friend has had done.
