Japanese lighting equipment manufacturer Nissin announced last week in Japan the new i40 compact flash for Nikon, Canon, Sony, and Micro Four Thirds camera systems, but it didn't disclose its price or availability.

As CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show opened its doors today in Yokohama, Japan, the Nippon manufacturer has revealed that the new Nissin i40 for Canon and Nikon DSLRs is scheduled to hit international market shelves starting March and will be available in Japan in April.

Sony and MFT camera users will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the new Nissin i40 compact flashgun, as the company pointed at June 2014 as a scheduled release date for these models.

If you're wondering how much Nissin i40 will make you get out of your pocket, the lighting equipment manufacturer has revealed that the flashgun will be available at a suggested retail price of $250 / €184.
