The smaller and lighter ( only 2.8 ounces ) version of Game Boy Advance SP will be able to play all the games included on the Game Boy Advance menu, which is over 700 titles.

Nintendo hopes to draw women and casual gamers with these compact and elegant devices, but doesn't dismiss the possibility that the usual users could switch to the new Game Boy Micro.

With a price of only $99 in the United States and 99 euros in Europe for its new product, the Japanese company estimates sales of four million Micro worldwide. Though the Japanese market has put a bigger price on the new Game Boy, 2000 yen higher than Game Boy Advance SP, they say the device wasn't meant to be a " must have " for Christmas.

On the contrary, the manufacturers believe that it would set a high standard of quality and they are very confident, considering the fact that the company has sold over 15 million Game Boy Advance consoles last year only. And the forecast for the Game Boy Micro is of 10.2 million copies for this business year.

Holding 94% of the gaming market, Nintendo has nothing to worry about. In the meantime, they also plan to release in Japan three more Mario games, featuring the popular character from 'Super Mario Brothers', on the same day as Micro.
