Nintendo has announced that it is planning to set a new Kirby-related world record during the upcoming PAX event and invites all attendees to take part in the attempt to get the Guinness award for “Most People Blowing a Chewing Gum Bubble Simultaneously.”

The attempt will be linked to other events that video game publisher Nintendo is planning in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Kirby as a character.

It will take place on Saturday, September 1 at 1:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, and all those who plan to take part will need to get into the Queue Area on the fourth level of the Expo Hall in Seattle.

Guinness states that the current world record for the most people blowing a blowing gum bubble is set at just 304, which makes it easy to break by the notoriously driven fans that attend PAX.

All those who will be part of the Kirby world record attempt will have a chance to get access to a number of items offered by Nintendo, including a Special Edition of Kirby’s Dream Collection and other fan paraphernalia.

The Nintendo Kirby powered stunt is set to also promote the upcoming launch of Kirby’s Dream Collection, which will be offered only on the Nintendo Wii starting with September 16 in North America.

The game does not yet have a European release date. The titles included in the new package are:

Kirby's Dream Land Kirby's Adventure Kirby's Dream Land 2 Kirby Super Star Kirby's Dream Land 3 Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

The new Nintendo release also includes episodes of the television series starring the character and a number of new stages for each title.

Gamers can also learn more about the history of Kirby as a video game character by accessing the museum section of Kirby’s Dream Collection.
