Nintendo has confirmed that 3DS Ambassadors, meaning those who bought the 3DS before the major August price cut went into effect, are still going to get their 10 free GBA games this month, after the 10 NES titles that were released back in September.

Nintendo’s 3DS wasn’t exactly a massive hit when it was first released, but after the company made a serious price cut back in August, just before many big games started appearing for the device, the handheld platform became a big success, even more so during Black Friday.

Now, in an effort to please those who bought it right from the beginning, Nintendo has once again confirmed that it’s going to release 10 free GBA classics onto the 3DS before the end of the month.

Speaking with ONM, a Nintendo representative denied rumors that the 10 downloadable titles are delayed until next year.

"The forthcoming 10 GBA Virtual Console titles available for registrants of the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Program, will be available before the end of December 2011. We will make further announcements in due course."

As of yet, five of the ten games have been confirmed by Nintendo, including cult favorites such as: Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare, Inc.: Minigame Mania, and Mario Vs. Donkey Kong.

Back on September 1, 10 free NES titles were deployed to existing 3DS Ambassadors, which included classics like: Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong Jr., Balloon Fight, Ice Climber and The Legend of Zelda, The Legend of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Metroid, Open Tournament Golf, Wrecking Crew, Mario and Yoshi.

Expect more details about when 3DS Ambassadors can get their promised GBA titles in the near future. Until then, you can still enjoy quite a lot of free NES titles, not to mention plenty of 3D Classics and quite a few great 3DS titles, including The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D or Super Mario 3D Land.
