Team Ninja, the studio that is in charge of creating the upcoming Ninja Gaiden 3, has said that it will be making the game experience hard for veterans of the series and others who are interested in it.

Yosuke Hayashi, who is a producer working on Ninja Gaiden 3, has said in an interview with gaming magazine Edge that, “Ninja Gaiden fans want a challenge, and we want to offer them a game that is challenging. But we also don’t want that to be a barrier to people who haven’t played these games, who haven’t played this franchise.”

He added, “It’s not about the game being too easy or too hard, it just seems like have a different skillset. So we want to offer a game to both kinds of players. We’re not trying to nerf the game.”

The developer has not said exactly how the team plans to deliver two very different difficulties and how the players will be able to switch between the two.

Ninja Gaiden 3 might have a dynamic system that determines how well the player is performing during different sections and will adjust the skill of the enemies accordingly or it could opt to give players total control over the settings that make the game harder or easier to get through.

Team Ninja has already said that they are aiming to return to the roots of the Ninja Gaiden franchise and that they will create a game that is focused on over the top violence and on complex player performed moves.

When the game was initially announced, fans were disappointed with the changes that were made to the series but Team Ninja has since then tried to reassure the fan base.

Ninja Gaiden 3 is set to be launched at some point during 2012 and will be released on the PlayStation 3 from Sony, the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the Wii U from Nintendo.
