14 DAY TRIAL // An updated flavor of the Nimbuzz mobile client is now available for download for the owners of Windows Phone 8 devices, namely version 1.1.7.
The new app release brings along one of the most anticipated features that Nimbuzz can offer, namely support for Chatrooms.
“We are excited to announce the introduction of Chatrooms in Nimbuzz on Windows Phone 8 Client – version 1.1.7. It allows you to Chat with people, make new friends, create your own rooms, invite friends to room, send virtual gifts, and do lot more,” the company explains.
Following the installation of the new application release, users will be able to easily create their own Chatrooms and then invite people to join them. Moreover, they can set these chatrooms to be either private or public, for increased control over them.
At the same time, the mobile client will allow users to easily access a list of popular Chatrooms out there, and to access the ones they desire. A favorites list is also available, for the owners of Windows Phone 8 devices to add to it the Chatrooms they like the most.
Nimbuzz 1.1.7 for Windows Phone 8 will also provide users with the option to view Avatars / Profile of Chatroom Participants, while enabling them to chat with them privately and to add them to their contact list.
Functionality such as search in Chatrooms was also included in the update, with the possibility to apply advanced filters while searching (such as country, language, and more).
On top of that, the new flavor of Nimbuzz for Windows Phone 8 enables people to send and receive gifts by using chat room commands, Shailesh Soni, product manager, notes in a post on the Nimbuzz blog.
The updated version of the mobile messaging application also brings along a series of bug fixes and improvements, resulting in a better overall experience for all users.
