Just a few hours after Nikon made the D800 official, Amazon, B&H and Jessop have all made the full-frame DSLR available for pre-order from their websites.

Amazon has actually listed the D800 not only on its US website, but also on Amazon.de and Amazon.jp, so Nikon fans all over the world seem to be covered.

In the US, pricing for Nikon’s new creation is set at $2,999.95, while in the UK you would have to get £2399.95 out of your pocket to get one.

These are some impressive price tags indeed, but it seems that the full-frame 36MP sensor, 1080p 30fps video recording and the new 91,000 pixel RGB 3D Color Matrix Meter III sensor are definitely worth it.

The D800E is also listed, so you can pick the model that best fits your needs. Thanks go out to Nikon Rumors for compiling this list.
