I keep mistakenly thinking little fish and big fish can swim in the same pond together. But seeing this, I unconsciously tend to ignore other important names in the sports industry.

I guess partnerships are the best way to kick asses on any market, especially when it's being signed between heavy brands such as Samsonite and Alexander McQueen, Prada and LG and the list goes one.

Therefore, this perfect combination between Nike and iPod comes natural. After releasing the Nike+iPod Sports Kit, the sports company has though about reinventing the sports watch concept by adding an eccentric design to a simple watch. But, at midnight, when the good fairy Nike casts a spell on it, the watch turns into an iPod nano on the inside, becoming a full-controlled station for your precious wrist.

The Amp+watch features some integrated normal iPod controls that can be found exclusively on the Nano device. By a simple press of a button, the information begins to scroll automatically across a series of nice hidden LEDs that are embedded under the plastic above the controls.

As for the design patterns, the manufacturers have chose a slick, clean, sporty but somehow sophisticated form shape, that appeals to both women and men. It was designed on a single tapering strip of flexible and smooth rubber, revealing a watch-like clasp on a side.

Surprisingly, the device looks rather as a bracelet than as a watch, mostly pitch black and with a hint of red around the edges. The nicest thing is that the controls slowly disappear in the surface of the unit. Not to mention Nike added its swooshj above the built-in LED, without disturbing too much the overall design.

The device is ideal to use by enraged joggers who sweat their Goths while performing their every morning routine. Still, if you're wondering about pricing and availability details, you should know that 13 of these babies are due to hit the retail market in a couple of months.
