14 DAY TRIAL // Rapper Nicki Minaj is not happy with just being the hottest female rapper of the moment, so she’s thinking about doing movies as well. In the March / April 2011 issue of King Magazine, Minaj talks about her dreams of a career in Hollywood.
It’s not uncommon for singers to consider or attempt launching a career in the movies, though the golden rule is that, most often than not, said attempts are just whims.
Consequently, they fail. Nicki believes she has what it takes to make the crossover. Even more, she wants to be like a next Angelina Jolie, and she’ll get the chance to work with her favorite director.
“Of course [I want an acting career]. [My dream role would be] to play someone in a Tim Burton movie, where I get dressed up and painted and crazy,” she tells the magazine.
At least no one can say she’s not dreaming big. “Then I want to be able to do some action stuff, like Angelina Jolie,” the rapper says.
In the same issue of the popular magazine, out on newsstands on January 2011, Minaj also offers a bit of insight into what her ideal man would be like. Not surprisingly, she wants a man to match and even surpass her in almost everything.
“I look for someone who is calm, someone who is strong enough to not have to win every argument, someone who allows a woman to be her crazy self and someone with a conscience not to feel less of a man,” the rapper explains.
“Someone who is able to honor his woman but also bring out the freak in his woman. Just being super aggressive when the time is right. Just something that makes me feel like they’re in control, when we are behind closed doors,” Nicki says.
