Devin Velez was eliminated from American Idol after his and Lazaro Arbos and Burnell Taylor’s rendition of “I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)” failed to impress both judges and viewers / voters. However, he believes Nicki Minaj is to blame for his elimination.

First off, above is the boys’ performance: Devin argued that he wasn’t the one who fumbled with the words, so the judges should have stuck by him and saved him.

In response, Nicki tweeted up a storm, telling him, among other things, that he should use the exposure he got to make a name for himself and not be so ungracious as to try to find culprits.

“America r the ‘potential’ fans. U MUST win them over. ‘Saves’ are bull[expletive] and they know it. Those girls are just too good this year. Send the judges some flowers and a card,” Nicki also wrote.

Devin had a few things to say for himself as well, though he later deleted the tweet.

“That moment when an adult stoops down to the 3rd grade level...LOL grow up Hun, I've got songs to write. :) #movingforward,” he tweeted. Oh snap.
