14 DAY TRIAL // Nicki Minaj is having to battle yet another scandal these days. After she was blasted for having implants to achieve her round posterior, her trademark image and her most recognizable asset, Nicki is now coming under fire for lip syncing during a live performance at the iHeartRadio Festival.
On Friday night, Nicki showed up on stage at the event, being one of the live performers. All fine so far, except that some of the fans in the audience noticed that Nicki wasn't actually singing live.
The moment fans picked up on the deception was when Nicki apparently struggled to keep up with her fast-paced lyrics in her songs. One eye witness said that “she was clearly lip syncing during her performance. Her mic was held very far from her, and her mouth did not match the words. Everyone noticed.”
The reaction of the public is one to be expected in such cases, they began booing. But Nicki somehow managed to pull through and even delivered an impromptu acapella performance, probably in an effort to sooth the fans who has become restless when hearing that she was faking her performance.
The singer stopped the music and then showed off her rapping skills by uttering a verse from one of her songs in one breath. The video below catches that exact moment.
