14 DAY TRIAL // One Direction superstar Niall Horan may be dating Irish model Zoe Whelan, according to recent reports an almost-admission by the Irish beauty herself.
According to Entertainment Wise, Whelan gave a recent interview in a local newspaper and, when prompted about her relationship with Horan, she dodged the question and hinted that the rumors might be true.
"It's a secret really," she said.
"I love listening to music. And I do like their songs," she added.
She has been in the media a lot since said rumors emerged about her potential fling with the 18-year-old artist.
"A lot of girls have said nice things. But you get nasty and mean comments. I’ve had a few death threats which is really scary. [...] I just ignore them; I try not to pay them any attention," she describes.
She relies on the support of friends and family in facing the media and Horan's fans.
"My friends and family and everyone around me is very supportive. They have always told me to go for it," Whelan explains.
Whelan is also a friend of the Horan family and she has attended the wedding of Niall's brother Greg in Mullingar.
"Niall has been secretly seeing Zoe for a couple of months after he met her backstage," an insider revealed.
"The biggest sign he’s really serious about her is that he introduced her to his whole family at his brother’s wedding," an unidentified source claiming to have insider information stated three months ago.
The source also mentioned that the pair had a serious relationship going on, and that Whelan is the first girl that Horan introduces to his parents as his girlfriend.
"Zoe’s the first girlfriend Niall has brought back to his hometown of Mullingar since making it big, so it was a big deal and the talk of his family at the wedding," the source says.
