Once again a company has quietly updated its product line without actually saying anything about availability and pricing, this once the outfit being Nexus Technology and the products in question a pair of PC enclosures.

Nexus has been dealing in computer cases for quite a while and it seems like it decided to step up its efforts now that the holiday season is coming in.

What the company did was expand its existing collection of personal computer cases, desktop cases that is, by two members.

Said new members go by the names of Prominent 5 and Prominent 9 and do their best to merge the advantages of noise reduction and ease of use.

Both newcomers have a physical size of 508 (D) x 207 (W) x 479.3 (H) mm and share a number of features while being made unique by the number of ODD bays and I/O options.

As far as similarities go, the duo have a black exterior, rubber feet, side panels equipped with noise-absorbing material and a tool-less construction.

What that tool-less construction is good for is allowing PCI cards and internal storage devices to be installed easily and quickly.

Another similarity is the presence of rubber feet and a pair of fans, one of which is set at the top and has a diameter of 140mm, while the other one is of 120mm and lies at the front.

The Prominent 9 comes with nine 5.25-inch drive bays, which are used for such things as optical disk drives (ODDs) and other accessories, like fan controllers.

The Prominent 5 has five exposed 5.25-inch bays and a FireWire port on its I/O panel, in addition to the USB 2.0 and eSATA port that the Prominent 9 also boasts.

Unfortunately, even though the Nexus Prominent 5 and Prominent 9 have already gotten their official product pages, they have yet to be priced.
