Nexus One, the first device pushed to the market with Google's Android 2.1 operating system on board, has just arrived on the market in Spain, and is expected to make an appearance on shelves in Germany on May 25, the latest reports around the Internet suggest. We already knew that Vodafone was set to bring the handset to more countries on the old continent, especially since SFR (member of the Vodafone Group), recently announced the availability of the phone in France.

According to a recent Tweet from Vodafone Spain, those who live in the country and are interested in the Nexus One by HTC can already head over to its website to make a purchase. As for the device's release in Germany, reports suggest that May 25 might have been chosen as the lucky day for enthusiasts, who will be able to purchase the Nexus One for €489 without a contract. The handset should be put on sale via Vodafone Germany.

Needless to say, Vodafone seems set to make the Google phone available for purchase in as many European countries as possible. When initially launching the device in the US back in January, Google did announce that Vodafone would receive it on the old continent, and it seems that an exclusivity deal might have been signed.

Recently, Google unveiled a change of plans for the marketing of Nexus One. Initial plans of having it on sale via the company's own web store were dropped, and the device will hit the shelves via carriers around the world. Since US users can acquire it from two operators, namely T-Mobile and AT&T, there are great chances that more European wireless services providers will soon get it, though no specific details on the matter are available at the moment.

With UK, France and Spain already having access to Nexus One, and Germany set to follow shortly, is remains to be seen where and when the phone lands in Europe, so stay tuned for more.
