Yesterday we saw Amazon.in slash the price of Google’s Wi-Fi Nexus 7, the 16GB version, in India. Amazingly enough, the model is now sold out on Amazon, but don’t despair, other sites have joined the discount band wagon.

Now, Flipkart is also offering a lower price on the Nexus for both Wi-Fi variants. The Nexus 7 16GB version is priced like on Amazon.in at Rs 9,999 / $161 / €119 while the 32GB variant ships now at Rs 13,499 / $217 / €161.

Most importantly, the 3G Nexus 7 bears a shrunken price tag as well, customers being able to grab it for Rs 16,999 / $273 / €202.

The Google Nexus 7 packs some attractive features like a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The slate is being powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 processor coupled with 1GBof RAM.

The aggressive and extensive price cut strategy might signal that Google is on its way to deliver the Nexus 7 2013 model in India.
