Have your eyes set on a Nexus 7 tablet? Then you should know Amazon is offering a pretty nifty promotion on the first-generation Nexus 7-incher.

I don’t know how much the deal will last, so if you’re interested, you should head on over to Amazon and grab your Nexus now, for $167 (as opposed to $299). This means you’ll be awarded a 44% discount, certainly not something to be ignored.

Also, the Nexus 7 2012 has received the OTA update for Android 4.4 KitKat, so you’ll be able to take advantage of the new build’s goodies and enhancements, too.

The first-gen Nexus 7 (made by ASUS) has a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels and gets its life juice from a 1.2GHz Tegra 3 CPU fitted with 1GB of RAM. It also has a 4,325 mAh battery and, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and NFC.
